Matching game Halloween

A great matching game for kids with many items (pumpkins,...) or characters (witches, ghosts, vampires, mummies...) and terrifying animals (bat, black cat, spiders...) from Halloween. An ideal game for those who like to scare on Halloween. So come and play and beware of traps!


How to play the matching game online?

Click "PLAY" to start. Flip cards 2 at a time to find matching pairs — when you find a pair, you get to play again! Otherwise, the cards flip back face down. The goal: find all the pairs in as few moves and as little time as possible. Every game is randomly generated, so you can play over and over!

Adjust the difficulty by changing the number of cards and the display speed using the buttons below the game. 3 game modes are available:

  • SOLO: play alone at your own pace.
  • WITH A FRIEND: share a fun moment with a friend, brother or sister sitting next to you.
  • VS COMPUTER: take on the computer — set the level to "EASY" if it's too challenging!

The Halloween party

Halloween take places the night of October 31 to November 1. This party is celebrated mainly in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and Australia. One of the traditions is for children to dress up in scary costumes (monsters, vampires, ghosts or witches for example) and they ring the neighbours' doorbells to ask for candy with the famous question "Trick or Treat?". It's an unmissable appointment for the small gourmands :)

Do you know that the Halloween tradition was imported into the United States by the Irish around 1845? Originally this celebration was called Samain's Feast. Instead of pumpkin, it was turnips that were hollowed out to put candles to reproduce the lantern of Jack Stingy, the cursed, a character from an Irish legend. When they arrived in the USA, the Irish began to use pumpkins instead of turnips.

The main decorative items used during Halloween party are the pumpkins, spiders and spider webs. Two colors are very used to decorate houses, the black and orange... like pumpkin!
